‘Probably’: Journalist says £55m signing is the transfer he’s most confident Arsenal will make this summer

Arsenal are set for another busy summer transfer window.

The Gunners have plenty of business to tend to and they are already being linked with plenty of potential new signings.

The north London club are said to be looking at a whole host of new strikers and midfielders heading into the summer, and speaking on Inside Arsenal, Charles Watts has now named the signing he’s most confident Arsenal will make.

Indeed, Watts was asked if he had to name the one Arsenal signing this summer he’d bet on if he had to, and he said that Benjamin Sesko is the player he’d back to join Arsenal.

Charles Watts says Benjamin Sesko is the Arsenal signing he’s most confident on

Watts named Sesko as the signing he’s most confident on.

“If you were to bet on a summer signing for Arsenal that isn’t named David Raya who would it be and why?” Watts was asked.

“Yeah, not David Raya, that’s really hard. I’d probably say Sesko at the moment with the way things are heading. But I wouldn’t be 100% convinced, but I’d probably say him,” Watts said.

Sesko deal could be clever

This is the signing that Watts is most confident Arsenal will make, and it could be the smartest piece of business the Gunners do this summer.

At just £55m, Sesko isn’t a signing that will break the bank for Arsenal, and at the age of just 21, he’s a player with huge potential and resale value in years to come.

Sesko could be just what the doctor ordered at Arsenal, he’s a striker who can really spearhead this attack, and that sort of threat in the final third could propel Arsenal to the title.

Whether or not Arsenal do get this deal done remains to be seen, but, by the sounds of it, Watts reckons there’s a real chance this one could get over the line.
