‘Pushing’: Journalist says ‘excellent’ manager is really trying to get the Man United job now

Manchester United could be set to change manager this summer.

Erik ten Hag’s future remains very uncertain despite the Red Devils’ recent FA Cup win, and an internal review is currently taking place to decide what should happen with the Dutchman.

United have already started coming up with some ideas for what they will do if they are to replace Ten Hag, and one manager who has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford is Thomas Tuchel.

The former Chelsea boss is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League, and speaking on mufcMPB’s YouTube channel, Ben Jacobs has shared an update on Tuchel and how much he wants the United job.

Thomas Tuchel pushing to get the Manchester United job

Jacobs shared what he knows about the ‘excellent’ manager, claiming that he’s pushing to get the United job harder than United are pushing to hire him.

“With Tuchel, there has been nothing concrete from United to Tuchel yet, but he’s formed a part of the succession planning,” Jacobs said.

“Tuchel is pushing for Manchester United more than Manchester United are pushing for Tuchel at this point. In other words, Tuchel wants to come back to the Premier League and he would welcome the approach.”

Tuchel would be a great option

This may be a no-brainer for United if they do decide to sack Ten Hag.

Tuchel is a fantastic candidate for any managerial job, and he could work wonders at Manchester United.

Aside from anything else, Tuchel is a no-nonsense manager who is a proven winner.

He’s done the business in every single league he’s managed in, and he’s also won a Champions League with Chelsea.

He may not be a young option who will grow a project in the long-term, but sometimes the obvious choice is the best choice, and Tuchel’s CV outweighs almost any other manager on the market right now.
