Inside Starbucks' secret drinks menu that's even better than the normal one

If coffee isn’t your summer drink of choice, then luckily, Starbucks has an entire secret menu filled to the brim with hydrating Refreshers in unique flavors.

As the most popular coffee chain in the States, Starbucks is familiar with what the American public needs and wants in their caffeinated beverages.

When they’re not wowing customers with innovative creations like the spicy refreshers, which you can also make at home, they are breaking bank accounts with the most adorable seasonal merchandise.

Though the standard menu has enough options to keep even the busiest coffee lover occupied, some people prefer a refreshing beverage in the summer.

As such, drink up this range of Refreshers straight from the pages of the Starbucks secret menu.

Matcha Pink Drink

Matcha is having a moment on social media, which is why Starbucks capitalized on the trend in March with a limited-edition drink for St. Patrick’s Day.

But if the coffee shop rudely ripped away your green tea baby before you were ready, you’ll be happy to know that the Starbucks secret menu is filled with matcha-based beverages.

One such drink is the Matcha Pink Drink, which is made from a 3-part Strawberry Acai Refresher with coconut milk and 1-part matcha coconut milk on the rocks. The result is pink, so what’s not to love?

Sunset Refresher

As you’re chilling with your beau this summer and watching the sun go down, there’s arguably no better beverage option than the Sunset Refresher from the Starbucks secret menu.

To make it, ask your friendly barista for a Cool Lime Refresher to the first line of the cocktail shaker. From there, top with lemonade and a generous portion of black tea.

Other variations of the drink exist on social media, with some choosing green tea instead of black.

Lava Flow Refresher

Though the Lava Flow Refresher might sound like it will blow your head off, much like the chili refreshers currently on the menu, the volcanic concoction is actually super fruity.

To order, head over to the counter and request an Iced Passion Tea Lemonade with strawberry juice and pumps of simple syrup. Once shaken, top with orange and mango.

Love on the Rocks

Like every other fast food joint in the world, Starbucks loves to capitalize on a holiday with seasonal-specific drinks like February’s Strawberry Cold Foam.

Though Valentine’s Day may be practically a year away, that doesn’t mean you can’t feel the love from the Starbucks secret menu.

To start, ask for a Berry Hibiscus Refresher without the blackberries and with apple juice instead of the usual water, as this makes it significantly sweeter. Following this, add raspberry syrup and a good splash of Passion Iced Tea.

Peach Zen Refresher

After a stressful day at work or a nasty breakup with your partner, you’re going to desperately need one of the Zen Refresher drinks from the Starbucks secret menu.

The Zen Refresher is made from half a Cool Lime Refresher with the earthy embrace of green tea. To finish off the secret menu drink, ask the Starbucks barista for a few pumps of peach syrup.

Pixy Stix Refresher

Most people have fond (or traumatic) memories of filling up on Pixy Stix as a kid, usually resulting in one very upset stomach and some angry parents.

Though we don’t recommend gorging on sweets to the point of illness, largely because there are much healthier alternatives to sugar, the Pixy Stix Refresher does not use actual Pixy Stix.

Instead, the drink reaches that sweet flavor using half a passion fruit tea and half a Valencia Orange Refresher. For this drink, the orange slices and water should be omitted.

Sour Gummy Worm Refresher

For those of you who want something sour from the Starbucks secret menu, let us introduce you to the Sour Gummy Worm Refresher.

The Refresher works through the combination of the Valencia Orange Refresher with numerous fruity syrups from the coffee shop’s expansive range. While the recipe calls for equal pumps of raspberry and peach syrup, you could balance the flavors more, depending on your desired taste.

Sweet n’ Sour Summer Splasher

Keeping with the sour theme, the Sweet n’ Sour Summer Splasher is made from both the Berry Hibiscus and Cool Lime Refreshers.

Though the standard recipes suggest using water for the ultimate hydration, you’re going to swap that out for lemonade. Finally, ask for the Starbucks secret menu drink to be blended like a Frappuccino.

Juniper Lemonade Refresher

Though Juniper is a rather unique flavor for Starbucks to be using, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise following their January Oleato drinks with olive oil. The coffee shop loves a strange flavor combination, so why not give it a go?

To make the secret menu drink, kindly request a cup full of lemonade with equal pumps of juniper and classic syrup.
