Report: £24m Arsenal player could now leave on loan with Gunners struggling to attract buyers

Arsenal are in for a big summer and while incomings will be vital, a number of players could also be on their way out.

The Gunners are looking to strengthen the the squad this summer but while that is the priority for the club, Edu and co know a number of players might need to leave as well.

Arsenal are keen on permanent sales really. They want to balance the books and have a number of home grown talents like Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe who’d represent pure profit.

However, aside from those two, there are others who could be on their way out as well.

But while permanent deals are what Arsenal are looking for, the Gunners could also be willing to let some players out on loan.

And that includes £24m goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal might end up loaning Aaron Ramsdale out due to lack of buyers

According to a report from The Mirror, the Gunners are trying to find someone take Ramsdale off their hands this summer, ideally, one a full-time basis.

However, there is also an acceptance at the club that they might need to allow Ramsdale to go out on loan and that is now an option being considered.

Ramsdale was the number one goalkeeper at Arsenal when he signed from Sheffield United but has seen David Raya come in and take his place.

Despite Mikel Arteta consistently suggesting both might play, it is now clear that Raya is the main man.

Ramsdale is being monitored by the likes of Newcastle United but the Mags are also struggling with PSR and FFP.

A loan deal, then, might end up being the best option for everyone here.

Ramsdale has been selected as part of England’s Euro 2024 squad and played in the 1-0 loss to Iceland last night.

He is expected to ask to leave Arsenal in the search of first-team football ahead of the World Cup in 2026.
