Gareth Bale has named one current Manchester City player as being one of his best teammates.

The former winger made 554 club appearances throughout his playing career, racking up 185 goals and 153 assists along the way.

In addition to winning numerous trophies, including five Champions League titles, the Welshman played with a wide range of top-level players.

Gareth Bale names Kyle Walker as one of his best former teammates

In a recent video shared on the Champions League TikTok channel, Bale and Cesc Fabregas were tasked with coming up with a starting XI filled with some of the duo’s best teammates.

When picking a right-back, Bale went for Kyle Walker over the likes of Dani Carvajal, Achraf Hakimi and Alvaro Arbeloa among others.

During their time together at Tottenham Hotspur between the 2009/10 and 2012/13 seasons, Bale and Walker featured in 84 games together in all competitions.

Across those games, the duo racked up three joint goal participations, with the right-back delivering three assists for the former winger.

Walker is one of the best full-backs around

In 612 senior club appearances throughout his career, Walker has scored 12 goals and delivered 52 assists.

During his time at City, who paid £50m to sign the Englishman from Tottenham back in 2017, the full-back has won six Premier League titles and numerous other domestic and European titles.

At the age of 34, not only has the defender made history with his City side by captaining them to a historic fourth Premier League title in a row this year, but he could also win the Euros with England this summer.

Having had such a long and successful career, it’s understandable why Bale picked Walker as his right-back option out of his best former teammates.
