Report: West Ham could sell 'incredible' £29m David Moyes signing this summer

West Ham United could sell a ‘special’ £29m David Moyes signing this summer transfer window, according to a recent report.

The Hammers finished ninth last term and will be without European football in Julen Lopetegui’s first season in charge.

The former Wolves man will be keen to return The Hammers to some form of European competition, though, he’ll need additions this window, with the squad currently geared towards David Moyes’ brand of football.

With that in mind, Lopetegui could reportedly sell a Moyes signing to facilitate incoming.

West Ham could sell Kurt Zouma

According to The Mirror (page 70), West Ham could sell Kurt Zouma this summer transfer window.

Moyes signed the towering centre-back from Chelsea in 2021 for a reported fee worth £29.8m and after three seasons at the club, he now could depart.

Zouma has one year left on his deal and will be available on a free transfer next summer, so sporting director Tim Steidten may feel it’s best to move him on for a fee this window.

The Hammers are in the process of identifying targets to replace him, with Burnley’s Maxime Esteve a potential incoming.

Sales before June 30

West Ham could sell a number of players before the end of June – when the financial year comes to a close.

That way, they are more likely to stay in line with Financial Fair Play regulations and that said, there may not be many incomings before July.

Nayef Aguerd has been heavily linked with a departure, so he could leave this month, as may Emerson who could return to Italy.
