They lost by 10 wickets against Gedling and Sherwood and were sent into bottom spot by Thoresby Colliery's away win at Mansfield Hosiery Mills.

Shalith Fernando.

Shalith Fernando top-scored with 44 while Chale Neshaharan made 37 but Balderton's promising start soon fizzled out.

They collapsed from 74-3 to 128 all out as none of the final seven batters made it into double figures.

Gedling needed less than 20 overs to knock off the required runs as the Balderton bowling attack failed to find a breakthrough.

Alan Jackson had led the Balderton batting with 86 while Alfie Morley made 67 as the visitors posted 226-4 from their 40 overs.

Morley completed a fine all-round personal performance by claiming 3-55 but Colliery opener Simon Neal carried his bat for an unbeaten 141 which helped steer his side home to victory.
