A bizarre quote from a new Donald Trump biography saw the former Apprentice host shower praise on Taylor Swift, though he admitted he doesn’t think she’s his biggest fan.
We are a week out from the release of Apprentice in Wonderland, a new biography about the early days of Donald Trump‘s career on TV, which tells the tale of how he came to host The Apprentice. Written by Ramin Setoodeh, the editor-in-chief of Variety, the book is said to showcase exactly what went on behind the scenes of the famous boardroom – and is littered with original quotes from Trump himself. One such quote is already going viral thanks to an excerpt from the book unveiled this week, in which Trump shared his thoughts on the world’s biggest pop star – Taylor Swift.
Donald Trump believes Taylor Swift is ‘unusually beautiful’
Back in November 2023, Setoodeh asked the 45th president what he thought about Swift – and in true Trump style, he responded with a sprawling, stream-of-consciousness style answer.
“I think she’s beautiful — very beautiful!”, exclaimed Trump. “I find her very beautiful.”
Discussing her politics, the Republican added: ” I think she’s liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump. I hear she’s very talented.”
Reiterating his initial point, the 77-year-old noted, once again: “I think she’s very beautiful, actually – unusually beautiful!”

Swifties do not take kindly to anybody speaking out of turn about their idol. And while Trump was actually speaking positively about the All Too Well singer – his comments were still very badly received by Swift’s army of defensive fans online.
Taking to Twitter (X) to respond to Trump’s remarks, one Swiftie wrote bluntly: “He needs to keep her name out of his mouth.”
Suggesting Trump was fishing for an endorsement in the upcoming election, another fan quipped: “You ain’t getting support from her grandpa”.
A third Swift fan made their feelings clear, writing: “EWWW STAY AWAY FROM HER, SHE DOES NAWT LIKE YOU”.
One observer couldn’t help but comment on Trump’s unique phrasing, adding: “He sounds like he’s fighting voices in his head every time he talks”.
As we head into the summer months, it looks as though Trump and Swift have a rather contrasting few weeks ahead. With Swift on the cusp of the 100th show of her record-breaking Eras Tour, Trump is currently campaigning to be the next President of the United States, despite being found guilty of 34 felony charges – suggesting that maybe their paths won’t cross for a while.
