An eagle-eyed fan spotted an aloof figure standing on a rooftop at a recent Taylor Swift show, and the internet is awash with jokes about whom the mysterious spectator could be.
The Europe leg of the Eras Tour is in full swing, with Swifites in Sweden, France and Portugal having crammed into sold-out stadiums in recent days. With tickets now a hotter commodity than actual gold dust, a recent clip from Taylor Swift‘s visit to Madrid appears to show one fan who used a rather creative method to sneak into the event of the year. Gazing down at the three-hour spectacle from the extremely high vantage point of the stadium roof, Swift’s fans have been joking about whom the mysterious figure could be – from ex-boyfriends to other-worldly spirits…

Tends of thousands of Swifties were merrily singing along to the 2017 hit Delicate last week at her performance in the Bernabeu stadium, though one observant fan was distracted by a rather ominous-looking spectator.
Glancing across to the roof of the 85,000-seater arena, a Swiftie named Aisha managed to spot a lone figure looking down eerily at the large crowds beneath them.
With a view that would churn even the most resilient of stomachs, it was unclear whether the person was harnessed or not, swaying gently from side to side as they watched on from the rafters.

Given that the figure appears to be holding what looks like a security weapon, we can assume the mysterious person was a member of the venue’s security personnel.
But the quick clip did prompt a wave of witty responses, as Swfifties mused about the true identity of the “creepy” figure on Twitter (X).
“Really girl?”, wrote one fan, tagging Swift’s most recent ex, Matty Healy at the end of the post. In a similar vein, a second viewer joked that the figure was “Joe Alwyn hiding in the rafters”.
“Me breaking into the eras tour bc I didn’t get tickets”, scribes one joker, referencing the struggle so many Swifties have had to endure to get their hands on a spot on the coveted tour.
One fan even resurfaced some old beef when they wrote “looks like ye”, in reference to Kanye West – a long-term foe of Swift’s who the star has maintained Bad Blood with for several years.
Quoting a line from Loml, a track on Swift’s most recent album, another fan poetically described the figure as a “Phantom dancing on the rafters”, while another joked the security personnel was the “Phantom of the Boppera”.
Swiftemonium is set to descend on the UK this weekend, with the Tortured Poet set to kickstart the British leg of her tour with a triple header in Edinburgh, Scotland.
