Report: £100m player is convinced either Chelsea or Manchester United will sign him this summer

Reports have claimed that one top player is still absolutely convinced he could end up at Chelsea this summer.

The Blues have already been busy in this transfer market, completing a move to sign Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer ahead of a number of their Premier League rivals.

With a new manager in the form of Enzo Maresca, it seems the club are looking to back him with multiple signings in different positions.

Striker is one position they are looking at strengthening, and all of last season the reported number one target was Victor Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen convinced Chelsea could sign him

Seen as one of the top strikers in world football, it was clear that the Napoli man was not going to be on the move for any less than his reported release clause of £100m.

It is believed the player is keen on moving on though, and according to Calcio Napoli he is convinced a club like Chelsea will make a move for him this summer.

The piece goes on to say that both Arsenal and Manchester United are clubs he could see himself playing for, as the game prepares for what could be one of the most expensive transfers in history.

It remains to be seen what Chelsea are planning to do up top, with another of their top targets now seemingly off the market.

Chelsea miss out on Benjamin Sesko

It was claimed that they were really keen on a deal for Benjamin Sesko, however he has committed his immediate future to current club RB Leipzig.

The most recent reports have linked them with a deal for Aston Villa man Jhon Duran, after their interest from back in January.

Fabrizio Romano stated that the Blues are looking for a quick fix to their striker scenario, and it can be thought that an end result is not too far away whichever way they go.
