Report: Liverpool now considering a bid for player Arne Slot called 'special'; he's faster than Kyle Walker

Liverpool’s quest for new signings is beginning to take shape and could now lead them towards a player Arne Slot knows very well indeed.

The Reds want to make new signings this summer and are being linked with a host of players already.

Naturally, links to Dutch players have followed the appointment of Slot and given Feyenoord won the league last season, some of their players have been mentioned as well.

And according to reports, one of the Dutch game’s brightest young midfielders is now emerging as a target for Liverpool.

Liverpool considering bid for Quinten Timber

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Timber is a player on the list of potential signings for the Reds.

It’s claimed that Liverpool have been ‘running the rule’ over Timber ahead of a potential bid, with Arne Slot a big fan of the midfielder.

Timber, 22, played a key role for Feyenoord last season and will very much be someone who Slot vouches for in transfer discussions.

As we know, Timber himself would be open to moving to England given his brother, Jurrien, made the move to Arsenal last year.

Lauded as a ‘special‘ player by Arne Slot, Quinten has also been watched by the Gunners as well.

Quinten Timber is rapid

We all know playing in the Premier League requires a number of attributes and being quick and pacey is one of them.

Luckily for Quinten Timber, he doesn’t have to worry about speed.

According to stats from UEFA, Timber is quicker than Manchester City and England full-back, Kyle Walker.

With Walker’s top speed coming in at 32.8km/h, Timber has surpassed that level last season by clocking a sprint just higher at 33km/h.

Timber, then, looks to have enough going for him to be a success in England.

It depends now if Liverpool and Arne Slot really want to push on.
