'One of their options': Agent says £80k-a-week Wolves ace is appreciated by two clubs, including UCL team

The agent of Fabio Silva has been speaking about the striker’s future – and shared two clubs that are options for him.

Silva is expected to leave Molineux this summer after a disastrous spell following his £35 million move back in the summer of 2020.

Silva has been unable to break into the Wolves starting XI, and has had three loan spells so far – at Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and most recently Rangers.

The Portuguese youngster did OK at Anderlecht and PSV, but has failed to convince when wearing the old gold shirt.

He recently admitted that he wanted to leave the club this summer, and now his agent has revealed the names of two clubs looking to land him.

Silva will be looked back on as one of the worst signings in recent Wolves history.

The club paid a whopping £35 million to sign him from FC Porto, despite the fact he had hardly played for the first-team.

He arrived at Wolves, but was clearly just not ready at all for the move. It wasn’t his fault that he wound up at the club and for the money that he did – that is on the board.

Silva recently admitted that he never even particularly wanted to join the club. And it’s clear in his mind that he would now like to move on.

Silva’s agent has been speaking about the striker and what could be next for him. And at the moment he does have interest from a few clubs.

He told TMW: “Fabio is one of their options. Giovanni Sartori, who I consider a master, and Bologna’s sporting director, Marco Di Vaio, appreciate Fabio.

“Raffaele Palladino, Fiorentina’s new coach, also likes him a lot. We’ll have to wait and see how the market evolves, also because there are some clubs that need to sell before making new additions.”

Bologna, of course, will play in the Champions League next season after their fantastic 2023/24 which saw them finish fifth.

Silva must be sold

Wolves must sell Silva this summer, even if it means taking a big hit on the player.

This transfer simply hasn’t worked and it is best for everyone to move on and forget about it.

Silva may well go on to be a success in another league. He did show glimpses of what he can do over the last few years.

But ultimately £80,000-a-week youngster Silva has never seemed cut out for the rigours of the English game. He did have opportunities but didn’t take them.

Hopefully, the fact several clubs seem keen on Silva will mean that the club can get a decent enough fee for him. However, given his struggles, it could be tough to get anything over £10 million.
