Report: £30m winger who Tottenham wanted to sign decides he doesn't want to leave current club

Tottenham Hotspur look set to miss out on a £30m winger as he wants to remain at his current club, according to a recent report.

Ange Postecoglou and his chiefs will be keeping close tabs on a number of players at the Euros this summer.

The Australian head coach has admitted there will be a number of outgoings as he looks to assemble a squad capable of returning to the Champions League.

One man he was looking at bringing in, though, has now decided he wants to stay at his current club.

Tottenham target Ferran Torres wants to stay at Barcelona

Over the weekend, Tottenham Hotspur were credited with an interest in Barcelona winger Ferran Torres.

However, according to Marca, Torres wants to stay at Barcelona and will not entertain any offers upon his return from the Euros.

The former Manchester City forward is under contract until 2027 and wants to continue at his dream club, ruling out a potential move to North London.

Spurs will have to move quickly onto other targets.

Tottenham Hotspur should target Crysencio Summerville

Spurs should target Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville, who would cost a similar fee to Torres.

The Championship Player of the Season is set to depart Elland Road this summer and Postecoglou’s side would be a perfect destination for him.

Aged only 22, the jet-heeled forward has plenty of room to become even better and will be eager to prove himself in the Premier League.

Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams should be another name on their shortlist.
