‘I see myself’: £60m player now suggests he’s open to Premier League move after claims Arsenal want to sign him

A Euro 2024 star has suggested he’s open to a switch to the Premier League after claims Arsenal are keen to sign him.

Mikel Arteta is expected to bolster his attacking options this summer but it remains unclear whether or not Arsenal will prioritise a move for a striker.

The Gunners have already missed out on Benjamin Sesko, with the Slovenian star set to stay at RB Leipzig for another season.

Reports have since claimed that Arsenal aren’t completely set on landing a new No.9 and could instead target cover for the wide areas.

But Arteta is also keen to add extra quality in the middle of the park and Arsenal may have just received a boost when it comes to one of their midfield targets.

Georgiy Sudakov suggests he’s open to Premier League move amid Arsenal interest

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Georgiy Sudakov after an impressive campaign with Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 21-year-old had a hand in 16 goals in 34 appearances and is set to play a key role for Ukraine at Euro 2024.

Speaking to The Telegraph ahead of Ukraine’s opener against Romania on Monday, Sudakov discussed his future.

“I see myself in the top five European leagues, but I cannot name a specific club,” he admitted.

“I understand that it is an incredible opportunity to prove myself, I am preparing mentally and physically. I hope I can show everything I am capable of.

“Of course, I understand that my future depends on this tournament. But for that, I need to be at a high level in the Euros. Therefore, I’m going to focus on the tournament first and then see what happens after that.”

Sudakov would cost Arsenal £60m

Arsenal will be fully aware of the difficulty when it comes to negotiating with Shakhtar.

The Gunners missed out on Mykhaylo Mudryk to Chelsea after failing to reach an agreement with the Ukrainian side.

Shakhtar are reportedly demanding around £60 million to offload Sudakov this summer and if recent history is anything to go by, they are unlikely to budge on their valuation.
