Report: Daniel Levy now ready to give Ange Postecoglou £100m to strengthen one key area at Tottenham this summer

Daniel Levy is reportedly set to back Ange Postecoglou with £100 million to strengthen one key area of his Tottenham Hotspur squad this summer.

The summer transfer window could prove to be a decisive one for Ange Postecoglou as he looks to build on a positive debut campaign in north London.

Postecoglou delivered a fifth-place finish last term and secured a spot in the Europa League next season.

After suffering five defeats in their last seven Premier League games of the season, Tottenham will be aiming to start fast this time around.

For that to become a reality, you’d imagine that Spurs will be keen to do a large chunk of their business as early as possible this summer.

With Postecoglou reportedly keen to strengthen at centre-back, in midfield and up front, it would appear that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is ready to back his manager.

Tottenham’s attacking targets

Spurs are in need of extra options out wide, as well as through the middle this summer. Ivan Perisic has headed out the door on a free transfer while doubts surround Manor Solomon’s future at the club.

It wad claimed just yesterday that Brentford’s Ivan Toney has agreed to a move to Tottenham, while Feyenoord talisman Santiago Gimenez is also reportedly on Spurs’ radar.

In terms of options out wide, Eberechi Eze seems to be emerging as a priority target for the north Londoners.

The Crystal Palace star is able to operate in midfield and on the left-hand side, meaning he’d tick plenty of boxes for Postecoglou.
