Report: Two players Chelsea might offer Crystal Palace in deal for Michael Olise, including 'clinical' forward

Chelsea are desperate to sign Michael Olise this summer, and Crystal Palace could see an offer of cash-plus players arrive.

It’s no secret that Chelsea are keen on signing Michael Olise this summer, heading into the window he’s always appeared to be among their top targets.

Talks are believed to already have taken place but Crystal Palace hold the cards with the Blues not wanting to spend the huge reported release clause fee.

Therefore, Todd Boehly is getting creative and is set to offer Steve Parish a deal including two players to sign the Frenchman this summer.

Here are the two names which have now been mentioned.

Chelsea to offer Cobham duo to Crystal Palace

We discussed last week, five potential players Palace could receive from Chelsea in a hypothetical sense and now it’s been reported that two of the five are actually possible makeweights.

According to a report from the Mail Online, Chelsea is set to offer two of their own academy graduates for Olise with both Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah on the cards for an exit this summer.

Both of these players have been linked with Palace in the past six months anyway, with Broja being suggested in April and Chalobah in December and are also two additions in positions that the Eagles do need to recruit in.

But that being said, we’re not sure that it quite balances out the Olise fee, and Palace would likely require cash in exchange as well, possibly enough that the total package effectively goes far over the release clause fee.

While these two options are solid, Palace may be keen on seeing Noni Madueke included in any deal, as he’d be a like-for-like Olise replacement.

What would Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah bring to Selhurst Park?

These are two exciting players, and both would have a place at Copers Cope. In terms of Broja, he’d be a risk given his lack of minutes at Chelsea and while on loan at Fulham, but he’d be able to rebuild himself at Palace with Jean-Philippe Mateta to learn from.

“Let me tell you, this lad is clinical,” Shearer began to tell Premier League productions’ YouTube about Broja back in 2022.

“As a striker, it’s all about taking chances and scoring goals, so stats like this tell me he can thrive in the Premier League.”

Meanwhile, pundit David Alorka in the same video explained that Broja shares similar attributes with Diego Costa. Now this was a couple of years ago, and the Albanian hasn’t kicked on, but he clearly has the ability and just needs to get going.

In terms of Chalobah, he’d probably only be required if Palace were to also lose Marc Guehi this summer. With Joachim Andersen, Chris Richards and Chadi Riad all competing for places already, Chalobah may not be a player Palace is jumping at the chance to sign.
