HVAC Wholesale Limited and ANASA Boutique Reformer Pilates awarded winner and highly-commended of the Best Start-Up category at Newark Business Awards

A family business that has been operating since March 2023 was named Best Start-Up.

HVAC Wholesale Limited run an air conditioning and refrigeration wholesaler supplying air conditioning units and any ancillaries to contractors across the UK.

Business directors June Richardson and Adam Wragby took the business from a few customers to over 90 air conditioning businesses nationwide who use their services daily.

Winners of the Best Start-up, HVAC Wholesale Ltd with John Robinson, chief executive of category sponsors Newark and Sherwood District Council.

They reached their turnover target within eight months rather than the initial one-year projection and the business also made a profit within their first year.

In July 2023 they launched HVAC Trunking which fulfilled the demand that was needed as their stock continues to grow with new items added and have also expanded the brands they work with in terms of workwear and tools.

June said: “We’re amazed and totally overwhelmed.

“We’re a family business and everyone works tirelessly, this award it for all of them.”

Adam added: “It means so much to receive this in Newark, it’s where we’re from and it feels brilliant

”It’s been an incredible journey and our growth has been phenomenal.

“To get some recognition for all our hard work is amazing.”

In the future, the business owners are looking to develop their customer base further in the next six months and reach the 100 to 120 customer mark.

Pioneering in the Newark Wellness and Fitness scene, ANASA Pilates Boutique introduced a new method of fitness with its reformer Pilates studio.

Having opened doors on May 25, the business's main goal is to offer Newark the opportunity to experience a different approach to fitness and wellness, in a space where people of all age groups and fitness levels feel safe and welcome.

Highly-commended in the Best Start-Up Category, ANASA Boutique Reformer Pilates, with John Robinson, chief executive of category sponsors Newark and Sherwood District Council.

Following its high impact on the company since it first started operating and offering a different fitness experience, ANASA was awarded the highly commended award at the ceremony.

From the first day, when all the available slots in classes were sold out, the business didn’t stop growing, with classes being sold out nearly every day of operation.

It has exceeded all profit targets to date and in the future, it plans to expand the studio in multiple location in the Newark and Sherwood area.
