Report: 'Terrific' player wanted by Nottingham Forest has been offered £134,000-a-week contract elsewhere

Nottingham Forest are hoping to sign some new players this summer but there could now be a real problem when it comes to Che Adams.

The Reds and Wolves have been linked with a move to sign the forward this summer as he looks for a new club for next season.

Adams is currently at Euro 2024 with Scotland and after his contract expired with Southampton, he will be keen to get hooked up shortly after the tournament.

The 27-year-old was in fine form last season as the Saints won promotion to the Premier League, scoring 17 goals in Russell Martin’s team.

Forest are long-term admirers of Adams and have pushed to sign him on a free transfer so far this summer.

Now, the club’s chances of signing could have decreased with a team in Saudi Arabia making a big move to sign him.

Che Adams offered monster contract with Saudi Arabia outfit

Well, Forest and Wolves could both be set to miss out on the signing of the forward, with Al-Shabab now putting a mega deal on the table.

Give Me Sport reporter Ben Jacobs claims that Adams has been offered a staggering £134,000-a-week contract to go to the Middle East.

It’s not clear at this stage what Adams is thinking and there is a chance that he will choose to stay in the Premier League.

However, neither Forest or Wolves will be offering a contract of that magnitude and now he’s got a big decision to make.

Adams is originally from Leicester and perhaps staying closer to home might play into his thinking this summer.

Adams could prove shrewd Forest signing

In our view, the signing of the versatile forward would enhance the level of competition for places at the City Ground.

With a number of quality attackers at the club, it’s hard to imagine that Adams would come in and be a regular in the starting eleven.

However, he’d be very useful in providing competition and on a free transfer, so it’s no surprise to see Forest keen on his services.

Adams has been praised by Ally McCoist in the past, with the pundit calling him ‘terrific‘ for his efforts on the international stage.

The player wasn’t in great form on Friday as Scotland lost 5-1 to Germany but Adams will hope for another chance against Switzerland this evening.

The lure of the finances on offer in Saudi Arabia might prove too strong for Adams – and who could blame him?

However, if he does fancy staying in England, Forest will hope to convince him that the City Ground is the right club for him.
