Mauldons Brewery, based on Sudbury’s Chilton Road Industrial Estate, launches first lager and Three Lions pale ale

A Suffolk brewery has launched its first lager alongside a special Euros themed ale.

Mauldons Lager has landed in pubs for the first time this week, embodying its unique craftmanship alongside traditional German lagering methods.

While using German Pilsner malts, Mauldons said the new product is ‘reminiscent of Suffolk meadows in full bloom.

The Sudbury brewers have also added the Three Lions pale ale to its roster to celebrate the start of the long-awaited European Championships in Germany.

Head brewer Steve Birch described the beer as having refreshing citrus notes with a balanced sweet finish, which he joked that Mauldons hopes mirrors England’s sweet finish in the final.

SuffolkNews was recently invited to its Chilton Industrial Estate base for a tour around its ever-expanding brewery.
