Spurs should move quickly to sign 'superb' £26m winger before people see how good he is at Euro 2024 - opinion

Tottenham Hotspur should move quickly to sign a ‘superb’ £26m winger before people see how good he is at Euro 2024.

The North Londoners enjoyed a year of progression under Ange Postecoglou last season, finishing fifth in the Premier League and returning to Europe.

Though, Postecoglou won’t be totally satisfied until his side reaches the Champions League and most importantly, wins some silverware.

To do that, he’ll need to be heavily backed in the window and the club should already be trying to wrap up a deal for a rumoured target before his price tag skyrockets at Euro 2024.

Tottenham need to move quickly for Sebastian Szymanski

The North Londoners have been linked with a move for Fenerbahce winger Sebastian Szymanski in recent weeks.

Spurs are viewed as a club to watch in the race to sign the Poland international, who is currently plying his trade at Euro 2024 in Germany.

Szymanski netted 13 times whilst laying on 19 assists for the Super Lig outfit last term, helping his side to a runners-up finish on 99 points.

Tottenham need to wrap up a deal as soon as possible before other clubs begin to realise how talented he is, thus raising his price tag.

Sebastian Szymanski profile

Szymanski is a left-footed winger who can operate in a number of different positions, evincing his terrific versatility.

The 25-year-old can play off the right, as an attacking midfielder and even as a number eight, which would provide Spurs with great depth across multiple areas of the pitch.

For £26m, signing Szymanski seems like a no-brainer.
