UPDATE: Ortiz was found dead in a wooded area near his residence, Vineland police said Friday. His death is not considered suspicious.
Police have asked for the public’s help in finding a man who has been missing since Sunday in South Jersey.
Jose Antonio Ortiz, 72, was last seen on June 16 around 3 p.m. in the area of Valley Avenue and Linda Lane in Vineland, according to a statement from the Vineland Police Department.
Ortiz was last seen wearing a purple Polo-style shirt, denim shorts and black sneakers, police said. He may show signs of early Alzheimer’s/dementia, if encountered.
His family said Ortiz has no ID, wallet or phone with him and added that he is insulin-dependent and due for his medication.
