Powerball winning numbers, live results for Wednesday’s $56M drawing

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $56 million with a cash option of $27 million.

The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the drawing.

While no one across the country won Monday’s $45 million jackpot a $1 million ticket was sold at ShopRite on South Livingston Avenue in Livingston, Essex County. The lucky ticket matched five numbers but not the Powerball. It was the only second-prize ticket bought nationwide.

Monday’s winning numbers were: 30, 48, 53, 58 and 66. The Powerball drawn was 9 with a Power Play of 2x.

In addition, no one across the country won the secondary $10 million Double Play drawing. Those winning numbers were: 30, 41, 42, 67 and 68. The Double Play number drawn was 16.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $80 million with a cash option of $38.2 million.
