Police renew CCTV appeal after Sudbury serious late-night assault outside the White Horse, in North Street, in February

Police have renewed a CCTV appeal following a serious late-night assault in a town in February.

A man was grabbed by the throat, pushed to the ground, punched several times and kicked and stamped on outside the White Horse in North Street, Sudbury, on Saturday, February 3.

The assault happened between 10.10pm and 10.20pm and involved two men.

A third man was later seen on CCTV joining the duo but is not believed to have been involved in the attack.

The victim briefly lost consciousness and suffered a broken nose.

CCTV footage of three individuals was initially released and after public response a 24-year-old man was arrested on May 9 on suspicion of intentional strangulation.

He has been bailed until August 1.

Police are now reissuing their appeal for the public’s help to identify a second man in connection with the incident, with the pictured CCTV images.
