After Fabrizio Romano claimed Crystal Palace had offered Michael Olise a new contract, another twist has now occurred.
The Italian journalist revealed late on Wednesday that the Eagles have put a new deal on the table for the France U21 international – which includes a pay rise and an updated release clause – in an attempt to fend off Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Newcastle.

Crystal Palace fans told Michael Olise contract situation is not accurate
Edmund Brack of the South London Press has now gone against Romano’s claim.
The Crystal Palace correspondent – who focuses more on local developments in south London, whereas Romano covers football on a worldwide basis – believes Crystal Palace have not offered Olise a new contract.
Brack wrote on X: “Told Crystal Palace have not offered Michael Olise a new contract at Selhurst Park yet. Doesn’t mean it won’t happen but no new terms on the table at the moment #CPFC.”
After a summer of widespread confusion regarding the Crystal Palace No.7’s future in 2023 – which surprisingly ended with him signing a new contract in SE25 – it now looks like we’re set to have another few months of speculation.
Fabrizio Romano doubles down

However, it would appear that Romano and Brack are receiving wildly different comments from their sources, as the Italian has since hit back, doubling down on his initial claim.
In response to a Crystal Palace fan, he wrote: “They did my friend, ofc (of course) it doesn’t mean he will decide to sign but the offer is there. As Kamada bid was there, Chadi Riad bid was there, Jobe Bellingham interest and no one reported anything…”

Clearly, Romano is confident that Olise has been offered a new contract by Crystal Palace, although only time will tell what happens for sure…
