Cambridge City manager Jamie Cureton brings in former Enfield pair Alex Warman and Jack Cousins

Cambridge City’s squad for life under new manager Jamie Cureton has continued to take shape.

In the last 24 hours the club has announced that two more players have agreed to join the club, both of whom are well known to Cureton from their time together at Enfield.

Central midfielder Alex Warman has arrived after a 2023/24 campaign in which he narrowly missed out on promotion with Ware in the Southern League Central Division.

The 25-year-old has also previously been on the books of National League North outfit Bishop’s Stortford.

Cureton wrote on the social networking site X: “Delighted to get Alex over the line – someone I have worked with for a long time he’s a top player and person can’t wait to work with him again.”

And Warman has been joined by fellow midfielder Jack Cousins.

Cousins found the back of the net four times during his 36 appearances for Thurlow Nunn League First Division South side Harlow Town last term.

The duo take the tally of new additions at City this summer to five after Tom Middlehurst, George Smith and Jayden Randell.
