While no one across the country hit Wednesday’s $56 million jackpot, a second-prize, $2 million ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in Buffalo, New York. It matched five numbers but not the Powerball and is worth twice the standard $1 million because the winner spent an extra $1 for the Power Play option.

In New Jersey, no one won more than $100 with a single ticket.

Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 4, 27, 44, 50 and 64. The Powerball drawn was 7 with a Power Play of 3x.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $97 million with a cash option of $46.4 million.
