Report: Nottingham Forest make £4m bid for player who was on loan in League One last season

Nottingham Forest are going to go in search of some new players this summer, whilst others will undoubtedly leave the football club.

Forest have some work to do in order to meet the PSR threshold and the 30th June looks like a big date for the Reds.

Nuno Espirito Santo will need to get some deals over the line before that date if Forest are to avoid another points deduction.

The Reds will want to get their squad in the best shape possible going forward ahead of the big kick-off in August.

Forest are being linked with a number of players at the moment and with the PSR deadline looming it would appear that the Reds are eyeing a signing.

Nottingham Forest want Lamare Bogarde

Forest are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to sign new players this summer, with Lamare Bogarde now on the hit list.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Forest are keen to sign the player for £4 million and it’s now down the player.

Bogarde typically operates as a defensive midfielder, although he can player as a centre-back or as a more conventional midfield player.

The talented youngster signed for Villa in 2020 when he swapped the academy at Feyenoord for Villa Park.

Bogarde has also been out on loan and spent the second half of last season at Bristol Rovers alongside Brandon Aguilera.

Forest could hit the jackpot with Bogarde

It’s quite intriguing that Forest are looking to complete this deal and perhaps Bogarde is ready to shine in the Premier League.

At 20-years-old he has a lot of learning to do and perhaps Forest is the place where he can really start to come to the fore.

Bogarde looks like the type of player who could come in at Forest and start to make an impact in the coming years.

As a Dutch performer, Bogarde would increase the overseas contingent at the City Ground and hopefully, this deal can come to fruition.

Espirito Santo knows that his cloth will have to be cut accordingly this summer and Bogarde could well become a very shrewd signing for the Reds.
