Report: How 'reliable' £30k-a-week ace feels about Wolves move after club bid for key Molineux star

Newcastle United have reportedly made a player-plus-cash move for Max Kilman – and a report has now claimed how Elliot Anderson feels.

Wolves have yet to lose any players this summer, but in recent days there has been increased speculation about the future of captain Kilman.

The 27-year-old is the subject of interest from a number of clubs at the moment, including West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

On Saturday evening, it was reported that Newcastle United have now made an attempt to sign Kilman.

It has been claimed that Newcastle have tabled a bid for Kilman, plus their midfielder Elliot Anderson. This, after West Ham saw a £25 million bid rejected.

Now, there is an update on Anderson, the player involved in the deal.

It has been reported by local outlet Chronicle Live that Anderson has no desire to leave Newcastle, despite the claims that a bid has been made for Kilman including him in it.

It is stated that ‘ any exit for the highly-rated Academy product has been denied by sources close to the star’.

£30,000-a-week star Anderson – described as ‘reliable’ last season by Eddie Howe – signed a new contract with his boyhood club in 2022, and is said to be committed. He supposedly wants to kick on, after he had an interrupted campaign in 2023/24 because of injury.

At the moment, Newcastle are in a somewhat precarious position regarding PSR and it is thought they need to offload some players in order to balance the books.

Kilman looks more likely to go than stay

So Newcastle have now come to the table for Kilman, and it is starting to feel like the captain could be on his way this summer.

Kilman did recently suggest that he was very happy at the club. However, speculation has really picked up over the last couple of weeks.

He has at least four big Premier League clubs on his tail, and you would imagine that eventually, an offer will come in that Wolves will deem satisfactory.

He is in demand, and Wolves have the chance to make a big sale and profit, on a player who cost just £40,000.

He has been a brilliant player for the club, and it would be a shame if he goes. But the money brought in could be reinvested into someone like David Carmo, who would make a great replacement. Yerson Mosquera could also be ready for the first-team in 2024/25.

Most of the talk has been about Bruno Guimaraes and Alex Isak. But the Magpies would no doubt rather sell others before one of those two.
