Gabby Agbonlahor jokes how much Nottingham Forest should be paying to sign midfield starlet

Nottingham Forest are in the mood for signing a few players and Aston Villa talent Lamare Bogarde is in the club’s sights.

The Villa Park academy graduate is the subject of a £4 million bid from Forest and a deal could get over the line.

Forest are hoping to get this one over the line and it would be interesting to see what role he would play at the City Ground.

The defensive midfielder is 20-years-old and perhaps he would be ready to make an impact on the first team.

With PSR loitering in the background for a number of clubs, Forest and Villa could be about to do a deal that would benefit both clubs.

After hearing of this news, Gabby Agbonlahor has posted how much he thinks Forest should be paying for the talented performer.

Gabby Agbonlahor shares how much Forest should pay for Lamare Bogarde

In fairness to the former Villa player, he’s had a bit of fun with this one.

Aston Villa are like a number of other clubs when it comes to PSR and they also need to ensure they sell some players.

The Midlands-based club will be in the Champions League next season and they are hoping to add some players to their squad.

However, players will need to leave too and Bogarde could now go to Forest in the near future.

Agbonlahor has posted a reply to Fabrizio Romano’s post on X suggesting how much Forest should have to pay for the midfielder.

He said: “At least £30 million.”

Forest are hoping to get the player for a fraction of that and Villa will have to do more selling to reach their £30 million target.

Bogarde could star for Forest if he signs this summer

Given that the player who signed for Villa from Feyenoord is now 20, Forest could welcome him straight into the first team.

Bogarde spent last season on loan with Bristol Rovers and he does have some experience playing men’s football.

The youngster has made one appearance for Villa at senior level and clearly they had high hopes for him.

Bogarde could come in at Forest and bolster the midfield ranks considerably from a defensive point of view.

Forest would be getting a pretty good deal if they can land him for £4 million.

The Reds could do with a defence-minded central midfielder and Bogarde could definitely scratch that itch next season.

Given that a number of clubs have been swapping academy players to try and meet PSR requirements, Villa could now do the same.

It will remain to see which academy player of Forest’s that the Premier League club pursue – if that is the case.

Bogarde looks like he has the right profile for a Forest signing and hopefully, he’s capable of making a serious impact.
