Report: Tottenham could now sell 'amazing' player signed by Antonio Conte; there's big concerns over his fitness

Tottenham might want to sign new players but this summer but part of the process for Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou is to also move certain players on.

Spurs boss Postecoglou cut a frustrated figure towards the back end of last season and made no secret of his desire to see a cultural reset at the club, along with movement both in and out.

So far, Spurs have moved to seal a deal for Timo Werner to return on loan, while there is talk of a number of players moving on from the club as well.

The likes ofPierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Emerson Royal are all known to be up for grabs.

And according to reports, one of their most expensive ever players could also now be sold, amid concerns over his fitness.

Tottenham ready to listen to offers for Richarlison

According to a report from Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, Tottenham could well sell Richarlison this summer.

Commenting specifically on the Brazilian in a piece covering a range of different strikers, Gold wrote the following about the £60m signing.

“While he netted 12 goals in 31 matches for Spurs and impressed when fit last season, Football.London understands that Richarlison’s injury record which has seen him miss 20 matches across the past two seasons, with other games when he was not fit enough to play more than a handful of minutes, means the club would listen to any serious offers that come in this summer for the Brazil international.”

Richarlison, then, could well be the big-name casualty at Spurs.

Richarlison hasn’t done enough at Tottenham

While injuries can be cruel and it’s no fault of the Brazilian himself, put simply, he hasn’t done the business in a Tottenham shirt nearly enough.

Richarlison was signed with the intention of eventually picking up the mantle from Harry Kane and being a regular goal threat.

However, it’s just not happened and it’s little wonder to hear the club are now considering moving him on.

Richarlison – who was lauded as ‘amazing‘ at one point last season – won’t be short of offers, of course.

The big issue for Spurs will come in trying to recoup that mammoth fee they paid and hoping someone reimburses them.
