The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $97 million with a cash option of $46.4 million.
The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the drawing.
While no one across the country hit Friday’s $80 million jackpot, a second-prize, $1 million ticket was bought in Texas. It matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball.
In New Jersey, a third-prize ticket matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball was sold at Lucky 2 Convenience on Route 70 in Lakewood, lottery officials said. It’s worth $40,000 instead of the standard $10,000 as the winner spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier option.
Friday’s winning numbers were: 3, 18, 27, 40 and 44. The Mega Ball drawn was 19 with a Megaplier of 4X.
Theodds of a $2 ticket winning the Mega Millions jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1.
Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million. The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize worth at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $95 million with a cash option of $45.7 million.
