'Magnificent': BBC pundit says Euro 2024 star reportedly approached by Liverpool has got 'absolutely everything'

Liverpool are likely to be busy on the transfer front this summer as Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes look to revamp the Reds squad.

The Anfield outfit has just begun a new era, with Arne Slot taking over from Jurgen Klopp as the boss of the Premier League giants.

Edwards and Hughes will be eager to give the new Liverpool manager all the tools he needs to hit the ground running at Anfield.

Liverpool have been linked with plenty of top players in recent weeks, including one whose international achievements are starting to match his club heroics.

On Wednesday night, the player in question helped his country reach the last 16 of Euro 2024, leading to a BBC Sport pundit saying he has “absolutely everything”.

Pat Nevin wowed by Liverpool target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

The player in question is Napoli and Georgia forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who Liverpool have recently approached, according to TBR Football sources.

Kvaratskhelia, who won the Serie A title with Napoli just over a year ago, helped Georgia reach Euro 2024 after beating Greece on penalties in their playoff back in March.

And on Wednesday, his second-minute opener against Portugal paved the way for a glorious 2-0 win and a last-16 meeting with Spain.

“Skill, power, pace, vision, you name it,” former Scotland ace Pat Nevin said on BBC Radio 5 Live during the game.

“Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has got absolutely everything. He is magnificent this lad.”

What’s the situation involving Liverpool and Kvaratskhelia?

TBR Football sources have reported that Liverpool have asked Napoli about signing Kvaratskhelia this summer.

Mamuka Jugeli, the player’s agent, recently said his client would ideally like to leave Naples ahead of the new season.

However, Napoli are believed to have told Liverpool – plus the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City – that Kvaratskhelia is going nowhere this summer.

On the one hand, the club’s word should be final. On the other, however, the player’s camp seems eager for a big move, so it remains to be seen what happens.

And with Kvaratskhelia currently making a huge name for himself in one of the biggest shop windows in world football, this will surely lead to even more clubs circling.
