Cole Palmer shares how he really feels after lack of minutes for England at Euro 2024

Chelsea star Cole Palmer has seen little game time at Euro 2024 so far.

Cole Palmer did not feature in any of England’s first two matches in the group stage before making a cameo against Slovenia on Tuesday.

His lack of minutes has been a surprise for some after the season he has just had.

The attacker was one of the best players in the Premier League.

In 33 games for the Blues, he came up with 33 goal contributions. Manchester United legend Roy Keane has even admitted that he loves the Chelsea man.

Cole Palmer’s mood in Germany right now

Given that he did have such an impressive season, you would not blame Palmer for feeling frustrated for his lack of minutes at the European Championship so far.

Yet the 22-year-old is not getting down about it and is trying to stay positive.

“I’m still full of belief,” Palmer was quoted as saying on Chelsea’s official website. “After the season I’ve had, I don’t see any reason why I should be down.

“So I will just try and stay positive and when I get on the pitch, try to make an impact.”

A great year for Cole Palmer

Whatever happens at the Euros, it has been an incredible year for Palmer.

Of course, he would have liked for Chelsea’s season to have gone a bit better, with the Blues missing out on Champions League qualification.

On an individual level, though, things have worked out better than he would have hoped.

Again, he scored so many goals and assists, which in turn helped him to win multiple awards.

Palmer scooped both the Chelsea Player of the Season and Chelsea Players’ Player of the Season accolades and the Premier League Young Player of the Season award.

When 2024 finishes, Palmer will be able to look back at it as a good year.
