Oreo has just unveiled a brand new flavor called Mint Chip and you’re definitely going to want to try this one.
The limited-edition cookies, inspired by mint chocolate chip ice cream, are due to launch across the US on July 8.
New Mint Chip Oreos are coming
Oreo shared a picture of the new flavor on Instagram this week, showing an Oreo cookie filled with mint green creme and chocolate chips running through it.
For an extra touch, the Oreo logo has been replaced with a waffle design on top to look like an ice cream cone.
“Summer means longer days and ice cream (flavored cookies) 💚 Mint Chip OREO Cookies hit shelves 7/8,” they wrote in the caption.
Oreo already sells a Mint edition with a sweet mint flavored creme, but this is the first time they have added chocolate chips.
It comes just weeks after the food giant confirmed they are exploring the creation of a Zero Sugar Oreo cookie for sale in the US.
Oreo launches Mint Chip cereal
The cookies are launching alongside a brand new cereal which has already been spotted at stores nationwide.
It’s called Mint Chip Oreo O’s and features crunchy, chocolatey hoops that are made with real Oreo cookie wafers.
“Post MINT CHIP OREO O’S Cereal is where your favorite summertime treat meets the joy of breakfast!” Post Consumer Brands said.
The cereal blends the crunch of Oreo cookie wafers with the taste of mint chip ice cream, perfect for summer mornings.
2024 has been a year of new products for Oreo, starting with their viral Space Dunk cookies with luminous pink and blue stripes.
Oreo also released a Churro flavor which went down well, and launched an Oreo collaboration with Sour Patch Kids.
