Report: Everton now face competition from mystery Premier League club for £30m attacker

Everton have several irons in the fire on the transfer front, but one pursuit could be about to get increasingly trickier.

Newcastle United winger Yankuba Minteh reportedly has his heart set on a move to Merseyside after impressing with Feyenoord during the 2023/24 season.

The Toffees are also closing in on a move for long-term target Iliman Ndiaye, who is now looking increasingly likely to join the club.

However, another transfer pursuit could be about to heat up.

According to a report from The Times, Armando Broja is of interest to the Toffees, along with Leicester City.

However, the report goes on to suggest another mystery Premier League club is interested in the Albanian striker.

The 22-year-old is currently recovering from Albania’s Euro 2024 group stage elimination. The Atheltic also report that Broja is valued in the region of £30million.

It’s not just arrivals at Goodison Park

With several players being linked with moves to Goodison Park, exits will likely occur in order to balance the books and confine to PSR concerns.

Amadou Onana feels like the most likely to depart. Bayern Munich and Barcelona are reportedly interested in the Belgian, who is still away on international duty.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was heavily linked with Newcastle United. However, talks have simmered somewhat, with the Toffees refusing to budge over their valuation, something outspoken talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan cannot understand.

Evertonians will have a much clearer idea of Sean Dyche’s squad once this summer’s international competitions have concluded.
