Report: Arsenal have been offered 'phenomenal' £40m attacker backed to reach Jude Bellingham levels

Arsenal are likely to be busy on the transfer front over the coming weeks as they look to strengthen their ranks.

The Gunners have gone from strength to strength under Mikel Arteta in recent years, and are now back among the best in the Premier League.

Arsenal have been in the title race for two years running and will be eager to go all the way in 2024/25.

The Gunners have been linked with a host of top players in recent months, and now a report has emerged claiming they’ve been offered a “phenomenal” attacker.

Indeed, Joe Cole recently claimed that there’s no reason the player in question cannot go on to reach the levels reached by Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden.

Arsenal offered Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho

The player in question is Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho, who impressed on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season.

Despite the England international’s heroics for the Bundesliga side, it looks as though he remains surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

According to TEAMtalk, Sancho is likely to leave Man United as Erik ten Hag is set to stay at the club after an internal end-of-season review.

The report claims that technical director Jason Wilcox believes Ten Hag should give Sancho another chance.

However, with ‘no truce between the parties’, the Red Devils are planning to move the player on, added the report.

Man United are apparently willing to accept a £40million package for Sancho, and have approached Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Barcelona about a potential move.

Sancho transfer saga on the cards amid links with elite clubs

Sancho may be out of favour at Man United, but his efforts at Dortmund – both in his prior spell and on loan last term – are proof that he’s still an amazing player.

With Dortmund seemingly unable to afford Sancho, this gives the likes of Arsenal the perfect opportunity to land an elite attacker for a relatively modest fee.

“Jadon Sancho is an incredible talent,” Joe Cole told The Mirror ahead of the Champions League final.

“He is one player I would liked to have coached, to have really talked to him and to have helped him.

“There’s no reason why Jadon Sancho can’t be where Jude is or where Phil Foden is, ability-wise he is phenomenal.

“I feel like he needs an arm around the shoulder and he gets that at Dortmund, he feels like he’s home.”

There’s a good chance that Sancho could be the subject of a transfer saga involving some of England’s elite clubs this summer.
