Archie Gray is attracting strong interest from Tottenham, here is everything you need to know about the Leeds United youngster.

Tottenham fans seemingly thought they had lost out on Archie Gray last weekend, only to see his impending £40 million move to Brentford fall through.

Reports from The Guardian state, the 18-year-old had agreed personal terms with the Bees and was set for a medical, Leeds however rejected the approach after failing to agree on a fee.

Brentford’s failed offer has now left the door open for Spurs to make a move, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano stating that Tottenham are “optimistic” a deal can be struck – with that being said, here is all you need to know about the England under-21 star.

Archie Gray is 18-years-old, having been on 12 March , 2006. Gray was born Durham and spent most of his childhood growing up in North Yorkshire.

Gray stands at 6ft 1 inches tall, making him an imposing figure despite his young age.

Gray comes from a long line of footballers with his father, grandad and great uncle, all having played the game at the top-level. His father, Andy Gray, was a striker who played for the likes of Leeds United, Sunderland and Burnley.

His grandad, Frank Gray, made over 300 appearances for Leeds United during the 1970’s and 1980’s. His great-uncle also played for Leeds, featuring over 450 times for them between 1966-1983.

According to reports on Leeds wages, Gray reportedly earns £5,000 per week, which equates to roughly £260,000 a year. His current contract is set to run until 30 June, 2028.
