'I don't know': 'World class' Euro 2024 player admits his future is uncertain after links with Arsenal

Right now, Arsenal are being linked with a host of the best performers at Euro 2024 this summer, players who can improve Mikel Arteta’s squad.

This time last year Edu and his team were making big moves for the likes of Kai Havertz and Declan Rice, determined to improve Arteta’s starting eleven.

And whilst the club have the same level of ambition this summer, it’s going to be a window designed to fine-tune, rather than rip up the squad.

Players will leave, but Arsenal will need to be careful regarding how many homegrown talents they lose.

All of Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson have been linked with exits, but the Gunners surely can’t afford to lose all four in one window.

Edu seems likely to welcome three or four new faces to the club, which would leave Arsenal slightly short on numbers in that scenario.

That being said, a central midfielder is thought to be a high priority for the club this summer, when Thomas Partey could leave Arsenal.

And upon the expiration of his Juventus contract, France’s Adrien Rabiot has been linked with Arsenal.

Having just progressed to the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 with France, Rabiot is now a free agent, two days after his Juventus contract expired.

Rice needs a new midfield partner, and an imposing presence like ‘world class’ Rabiot could be perfectly suited.

That being said, via Fabrizio Romano who posted the comments on X, Rabiot has now been discussing his future.

The France midfielder was coy, but admitted anything could happen right now.

Rabiot said: “I don’t know what’s gonna happen. My focus is one hundred percent on the Euros and then we will see what happens.”

And although Rabiot would likely demand sizable wages in north London, he reportedly earned £148k-a-week in the Serie A, any move could represent excellent value.

Arsenal wouldn’t need to pay a fee to secure the services of the 28-year-old, who would bring a ton of experience to their midfield.

That being said, it seems as if Arsenal may also be able to achieve something of a bargain from Barcelona this summer.
