Ford Australia recently uploaded another teaser video of the all-new 2023 Ford Ranger, replacing the camo body wrap for something a bit more dashing. The new pickup truck is expected to debut later this year, and will eventually reach the US market by 2023. Check the latest teaser video below:
2023 Ford Ranger: All-New Design
While the United States received the Ranger in 2019, it’s a high-mileage design that has been around since 2011, when it was initially introduced in Australia. So it may be possible that the Aussies get the new truck first. LED taillights are in full view, along with the alloy wheels. In addition, we can see that the rear bumper has steps built into the corners while the fenders are wider than the current Ranger pickup truck.
Based on what was reported to be an early leaked photo of the 2023 Ford Ranger, we can expect some family resemblance to the smaller Ford Maverick in its design language. Particularly when it comes to the headlights.
The 2023 Ford Ranger will share a platform with the Ford Bronco and set the foundation for the Volkswagen Amarok, which is part of a joint venture between Ford and Volkswagen to co-develop some commercial-grade vehicles together. In addition, America is expected to finally get the next-generation Ranger Raptor, which could receive the same engine as the 2022 Bronco Raptor.

The next-generation Ford Ranger is expected to start with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine standard, while the Ranger Raptor has been rumored to carry either a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 as seen with the F-150 or a 3.0L EcoBoost V6. In addition, there is also a hybrid system rumored to reach the Ranger, which ties into Ford’s plans for electrification.
The next-generation Ford Ranger is expected to have an eight-year life cycle and will probably be revealed within a couple of weeks. Still, it likely won’t be until 2023 before production even begins for the U.S. market.
