"THAT HUMMER IS ON HELLUVA VEHICLE MAN, YO!" PRESIDENT BIDEN SPEAKS AT GM FACTORY ZERO OPENING

Whether you’re a Hummer fan, a GM stockholder, or just excited to see an auto manufacturer open a U.S.-based EV assembly plant, there’s cause for celebration. The GMC Hummer EV is now scaling up for full production after a large grand opening event of their Factory Zero plant that even President Joe Biden attended. Have a look at the entire ceremony below:

The GM Factory Zero Plant

The plant itself is not a new GM building, rather a previous one that underwent a $2.2 billion renovation. Under its roof, GM Factory Zero will produce an entire family of Ultium-based electric trucks and SUVs, ranging from Chevrolet to Cadillac. But the first to be manufactured is the GMC Hummer EV pickup, followed by the SUV version, the Chevrolet Silverado EV, and GMC Sierra EV.

Previously an idled plant that built a hodgepodge of low-volume vehicles, the renovated GM plant will be responsible for employing over two-thousand people, and every vehicle from the plant will proudly carry a made in America attitude to its customer base.

The Hummer EV has already amassed the interest of thousands of customers based on the amount of pre-orders in the system and will begin shipping out soon. One of those customers includes the U.S. Army as they look to electrify their fleet of vehicles. The GMC Hummer EV looks to be a mechanical masterpiece as it provides 1,000 horsepower and a range of about 300 miles not to mention its crabwalk and extract mode technologies.
