Ford China has just announced that they will launch the F-150 Raptor in the country at CNY668,600. That’s $99,759 USD with today’s conversion rate. The Ford F-150 Raptor will be sold through a direct-to-customer sales model, with the order bank being offered exclusively on WeChat’s “Ford Pick-up Community” channel. Pre-order batches started on June 21 with a CNY20,000 ($2,984 USD) reservation deposit from customers personally invited by Ford.
Ford F-150 Raptor: Direct-To-Customer Sales
The first batch of vehicles is targeted to be delivered to customers in late Q3 of 2022. The new direct-to-customer sales model will ensure an enhanced customer experience and transparent pricing for the Ford F-150 Raptor. In addition, service agents will be selected from the new JMC Ford PV network and are expected to cover more than 30 key markets across China upon opening in August. Each agent will undergo exacting training for each service position, bringing Ford’s exclusive customer experience to Chinese pickup fans.

The offline retail immersion will start with an upgraded showroom called “Raptor Space.” Accompanied by the Raptor Buddy, Chinese customers will be introduced to the American off-road lifestyle, tour around the F-150 Raptor, and learn about the Built Ford Tough brand heritage. The experience will even extend outdoors if customers enroll in off-road events with different driving scenarios and outdoor living experiences. In addition, Ford China will be rolling out the industry-leading Off-road Ownership Service Package, which includes free replacement of 11 wear and tear parts, all-terrain assistance, and off-road maintenance and cleaning as part of the all-inclusive life-cycle off-road support, annual compulsory inspection service and pick up and delivery for more convenient daily use.
Customers will be getting a lot with the purchase of a Ford F-150 Raptor, which would certainly justify the immense price they will have to pay for the imported truck to be in their garage. But with peace of mind, while taking it on off-road adventures, it’s most certainly worth it.
