Stellantis has had a heavy presence at the Chicago auto show, with us getting a sneak peek at the Ram 1500 REV before its reveal during the Super Bowl, Jeep launching an anniversary edition of the Rubicon, and now a new version of the Banshee concept. This new version, featured in a video from Cars Made Simple on YouTube, is finished in a highly enticing red paint job with black accents around the bottom of the car to give it a beautiful contrast.
While showing a separate vehicle, the presenter of the channel’s attention is immediately turned back to the Dodge Charger Banshee concept as it’s given a display, complete with a microphone positioned near the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system. Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis revealed a few months ago that they were still working on the 126 dB roar that equals the SRT Hellcat and stated that customers could choose from a range of exhaust sounds for the car when it finally reaches the market.
New Dodge Charger Banshee Sound: Details
From what we can hear within the video, the exhaust note is thunderous, causing the camera’s microphone to crackle from the intensity. As for the comparison between the tweaked sound and the one we initially heard during the first reveal of the concept, there’s a significant change. We initially heard a high-pitched, mechanized howl effect from the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system, and now that has been replaced with a deeper growl that sounds much more aggressive and appealing.
