On the night of March 27, Russia fired 13 Shaheds at Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 10 kamikaze drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"At night, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine using 13 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces and means destroyed 10 UAVs," the statement says.

The commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk confirmed the results of the night air defense. According to him, the launches came from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian air defense was operating in Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kyiv regions.

Anti-aircraft missile units, mobile firing groups, and electronic warfare equipment of the Ukrainian Air Force were deployed to repel the Russian attack.

In total, the Russian occupants launched five missile and 74 air strikes over the past day.

The Russians also fired 152 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

Russians have recently intensified their attacks. In particular, on the night of March 22, the invaders massively attacked Ukraine. The energy sector was under attack.

The Russians hit the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant and left Kharkiv without electricity. Electricity problems arose in several regions, and blackouts were introduced.

In addition, on March 25, the Russian occupiers launched a missile attack on Kyiv. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down two ballistic missiles, but the debris fell in several districts of the capital. Thus, a three-story non-residential building was destroyed in the Pecherskyi district.
