Injury concern before Aston Villa vs Wolves

Injuries have plagued Wolves in recent weeks. Multiple members of the first team have been out of action as the injuries really start to affect the season.

Up top has been the biggest concern for Gary O’Neil with numbers dwindling after the injuries to Pedro Neto, Hwang Hee-Chan and Matheus Cunha. However, recent footage suggests the latter may be back on Saturday.

A new concern is that duo Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Craig Dawson still haven’t been seen in training despite the international break.

Everton join race for Wolves target

Plans for next season have now been laid out as the current campaign comes to a close. O’Neil will no doubt be hoping for reinforcements in the summer to boost his depth.

One position that is being looked at is the backline with Wolves targeting defender Koni De Winter.

However, after having scouts watch the Serie A man, Everton are now reportedly joining the race for his signature.

Aston Villa vs Wolves prediction

The Premier League returns this Saturday with Wolves being thrown straight into the deep end with a derby. O’Neil’s men at set to travel to Villa Park for a late kick-off after the two sides drew 1-1 at Molineux earlier in the year.

Wolves have played well against Villa in recent years. However, the Birmingham outfit are on form and looking to secure Champions League football.

Ahead of the game, Chris Sutton has made his predictions, but it has not gone in Wolves’ favour.
