A number of managers have been linked with a move to Liverpool over the past few months.
Jurgen Klopp is set to leave Anfield at the end of the season, and who eventually replaces Klopp is perhaps the biggest story in football right now.
A number of potential options have been touted, and speaking on the Planet Premier League Podcast, Cesc Fabregas has stated that he’s a huge fan of one manager who has been linked to Liverpool.
Cesc Fabregas is a big fan of Liverpool-linked manager
Speaking on the podcast, Fabregas noted just how much he’s a fan of Roberto De Zerbi.
The former Barcelona star says he’s actually been studying De Zerbi for three years now, and he’s been so impressed by what he’s seen.
Of course, this comes after a number of links to Liverpool for De Zerbi.
“I’m a big fan of De Zerbi, I’ve said it here before, I’ve been studying him for the past three years, and he’s grown so much as a coach. The first time I saw him was when we played at Monaco against Shakhtar in the qualifier for the Champions League, and I said ‘wow’ I need to follow this guy, he’s grown and grown, and what he’s done at Brighton is unbelievable,” Fabregas said.
Roberto De Zerbi is a top manager
To impress Cesc Fabregas you have to be a truly incredible coach.
Fabregas has played under some of the best managers of all-time throughout his career.
The Spaniard worked under the likes of Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho during his playing days, so it’s fair to say that he knows what a good gaffer looks like.
De Zerbi is undoubtedly a top manager, and regardless of whether or not he gets the Liverpool job, we’re sure he’ll be in line for a top role in the not too distant future.
