'Hold on': Alan Brazil admits £35m Liverpool player has proven him wrong this season

Liverpool have proven a number of people wrong this season.

The Reds didn’t have their best campaign last time around – finishing fifth, and after losing a number of key players in the summer, many questioned whether or not Liverpool could even finish in the top four this term.

In reality, Liverpool are now leading the title race, and that’s largely down to the incredible recruitment drive the Reds made this summer.

Indeed, Liverpool made a number of brilliant midfield signings in the summer, and speaking on TalkSPORT (5/4/24 9:20AM), Alan Brazil has stated that there’s one Liverpool player who has proven him wrong this term.

The Liverpool player who’s proven Alan Brazil wrong

The pundit spoke about Alexis Mac Allister.

Brazil says that he wasn’t quite sure about Mac Allister when he first arrived at Liverpool, but he thinks he’s now showing just how brilliant he is.

“When Mac Allister first came I was a bit ‘ummm’ and I was thinking hold on Alan, he’s a World Cup winner here. But now he is showing us what he is made of, fantastic the last few games,” Brazil said.

Alexis Mac Allister has been incredible

Alan Brazil says that Mac Allister has proven him wrong, and he’s not the only person who’s been shocked by the Argentine this season.

We all knew how good Mac Allister was last season when he was at Brighton, but this year he’s gone to a whole other level.

Mac Allister has this uncanny knack of improving every single season, and the way he’s taken to life at Liverpool has been utterly incredible.

Mac Allister has never been involved in a title race before, but, all of a sudden, he’s become Liverpool’s very best player at the most important point of the season.

Mac Allister may have to be considered one of the best signings of this campaign at just £35m.
