Liverpool’s search for a new manager has seen them linked with pretty much every gaffer in Europe at this point.
From tried and tested options to young and exciting prospects, you’d struggle to find a manager Liverpool haven’t been linked with recently.
The likes of Ruben Amorim and Thiago Motta have been discussed recently, but there’s another manager within the Premier League who has been linked.
However, speaking on BBC 606, Chris Sutton has claimed that there’s just a 1% chance that this gaffer gets the job.

As many will know, Chris Sutton is a big fan of Ange Postecoglou, and speaking on 606, he’s been speaking about the Australian’s chances of getting the Liverpool job.
“You think Ange Postecoglou might have a chance of being Liverpool manager, Chris?” Sutton was asked.
“Well I think he’s the guy who can take the club forward. What percentage in what context? That’s a silly question, I would say 1% because I think he’s going to stay at Tottenham,” Sutton said.

We absolutely agree with Sutton here.
Postecoglou would be a great option for Liverpool, but it is very difficult to see him actually taking this job on.
The 58-year-old has only just started his project at Tottenham, and something exciting does appear to be growing in north London.
Postecoglou is, almost to a fault, a very loyal man, and he won’t leave his squad and his club hung out to dry in order to go and manage a rival.
Liverpool may have to look at other options, but, as Sutton says, there’s always that 1% chance that they do end up getting the Australian out of Spurs, and if they were able to pull this one off, it has to be said that it would be a good appointment.
