What Thomas Tuchel has just said about Harry Kane and Tottenham ahead of Bayern Munich’s game tonight

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has now been speaking about Harry Kane and Tottenham Hotspur.

The German giants travel to north London tonight where they will be taking on Arsenal in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

A place which Harry Kane will be all too familiar with having scored 14 goals against Arsenal during his time with Tottenham.

And the England captain has clearly left some scars on the Arsenal players with Gabriel Jesus admitting how much respect he has for the 30-year-old.

However, it has not been the season which Kane will have been hoping for at Bayern.

He has done his part having netted 38 times in his 37 appearances and earning the appraisal of the German people.

But with over a month of football remaining, Bayern now rest their trophy hopes on just the Champions League.

Thomas Tuchel namedrops Tottenham when speaking about Kane’s motivation

The weekend defeat to Heidenheim saw Bayern all but hand the trophy over to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.

With the German giants now set to miss out on their 12 consecutive Bundesliga crown, Kane will be eyeing the Champions League as his ticket to ending his trophy drought.

Kane has recently spoken about Ange Postecoglou‘s side when congratulating Heung-min Son for his 400 Spurs appearance.

The England captain even admitted that he is still watching every Tottenham game in his message to the current Spurs captain.

But now it was the turn of his manager, Tuchel, who was talking about Tottenham prior to the game against Arsenal.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game tonight, the former Chelsea boss praised the 30-year-old with a game against his old foes on the horizon.

“It’s very enjoyable for Harry to be here at Arsenal in a quarter final of the Champions League. It will make him very happy to score. I don’t see how anything it holding him back. I feel he’s very motivated.

“Of course, Harry always helps you to win in any team…for England, Tottenham, and now us.”

Heung-min Son hailed Kane earlier this week with interesting praise

During Kane’s time at Spurs, he formed the Premier League’s greatest dup act with Heung-min Son.

The pairing combined for a staggering 47 goals during their time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium together.

And the South Korean was full of praise for his former teammate and revealed just how good he was in training at Hotspur Way.

“Playing with Harry was unbelievable. We’d been training together [for] so long. As soon as he got the ball, he knew where I was and I knew where he was going to pass the ball,” he said.

“Yeah it was a privilege sharing the changing room, on the pitch and make this record [with him].”
