Arsenal’s signings over the past 18 months have been spot on.
The Gunners have rarely missed a beat in the transfer market. Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and David Raya have all become key players after signing this summer, while Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard have been brilliant since arriving last January.
However, there is always going to be the odd signing that proves to be a bit underwhelming, and according to Eamon Dunphy, speaking on his podcast, there’s one Arsenal player who fits into that category.
Arsenal made a disappointing signing last summer
According to Dunphy, Gabriel Jesus has been disappointing at Arsenal.
The pundit claims that the £45m man hasn’t really delivered in north London, stating that he’s been a bit of a disappointment.
“Jesus I would suggest hasn’t really delivered, he’s Brazilian, he’s flamboyant, he’s not a starter with Arsenal, he started on Saturday, but he’s not a starter generally. He’s been a bit of a disappointment,” Dunphy said.

It’s a real shame to have to listen to these conversations about Jesus, because when he started at Arsenal, he was on fire.
Indeed, after he first arrived, he looked like he would be the difference-maker in this side.
He was finally playing in his favourite position, he was a proven winner and he was in remarkable form.
However, over the past 12 months or so, he has really gone backwards, the goals have dried up, and he’s nowhere near being the first name on the teamsheet these days.
With speculation growing around Arsenal potentially signing another striker this summer, Jesus may slip further down the pecking order at the Emirates in the coming months.
Jesus hasn’t been terrible for Arsenal, don’t get us wrong, but he may well be one of the more ineffective signings the Gunners have made over the past two years.
