'Big possibility': £86m player's agent now hints at Premier League move amid Chelsea links

One reported Chelsea target could be moving to the Premier League this summer.

Chelsea continue to be heavily linked with a whole host of centre-forwards ahead of the transfer window.

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, for example, are two names that keep coming up.

It has been claimed that Chelsea could try and offer Napoli a player to bring down Osimhen’s price tag.

It has also been reported that the Blues have been watching Gyokeres this season. If so, they would have been impressed with what the 25-year-old has shown. He has scored 36 goals in all competitions.

Agent hints at Premier League move for £86m client amid Chelsea interest

It has been an extremely disappointing campaign for Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s men are currently ninth in the table and risk missing out on European football once again.

Bearing that in mind, they could do with the arrival of a new striker in the summer, and Gyokeres joining the club does not look impossible.

Discussing which sides could come in for the Sweden international, his agent Hasan Cetinkaya recently told Record: “I won’t speculate about names of clubs but I can say that there is a big possibility that they will be Premier League clubs, because of course, they are the ones who have financial conditions to sign Viktor at the moment.

“There are also Italian clubs interested, of course. But we will see, it’s difficult for me to speculate around that. We are not at that stage yet. Viktor’s priority at the moment is to win the Portuguese league and cup.

“He only has that on his mind because he really wants to give supporters these titles. Sporting fans have been crazy and incredible with him. There is so much love for him, I had never seen anything like it.”

Sporting want €100m (£85.6m) for Gyokeres, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Chelsea’s main rivals for Viktor Gyokeres

If Chelsea do plan to make a move for Gyokeres this summer, then their biggest threat is probably going to come from another Premier League club.

According to FootballTransfers, while Chelsea are interested in the Sporting star, his preference is Arsenal.

With the Gunners flying right now, it makes sense. They are currently top of the Premier League table and remain in the Champions League.

Arsenal are at a level Chelsea are nowhere near at the moment. It would not be a shock to see Gyokeres pick them over the Blues this summer.
